Bettini crash update

I am very happy to hear that the Cricket is back up and racing so soon after his crash on the track in Milan.

From cyclingnews.com

Paolo Bettini, 34, will continue in the Milano Six Day today despite a nasty crash on Tuesday. It is the final race in a 12-year career for the two-time World Champion from La California, Italy.

"The idea is to get back on the track and try again," explained Bettini yesterday to La Gazzetta dello Sport. "The promise was to say good bye to the fans in Milano and Tuesday was not the best way of doing so."

This crash happened mere yards away from Lazer's SvW, who heard it and witnessed the scary aftermath. The Lazer Genesis helmet that Paolo was wearing did it's job and protected him. Orginally, he was to wear a prototype Helium for this race but due to last minute delays. Not sure how he did it but he was also wearing another unique Genesis helmet. Maybe we should post a library of Paolo's Lazer helmets through the years.
